Role SummaryThe Clinical Supervisor provides direct clinical supervision and support to outpatient Psychotherapists while maintaining a small client caseload. This role serves as a key bridge between frontline clinical practice and department leadership, ensuring high-quality, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed care. The Clinical Supervisor supports clinician development, documentation quality, and clinical decision-making, while reinforcing agency standards, accountability, and alignment with Anesis’ mission. Working closely with the Outpatient Director, this role contributes to a strong supervision culture, regulatory compliance, and consistent clinical excellence across the outpatient department, with particular attention to serving BIPOC and historically marginalized communities.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Supervision & Staff Support- Provide regular individual and group clinical supervision to outpatient Psychotherapists in accordance with licensure, agency, and ethical standards.
- Support clinicians in case conceptualization, treatment planning, risk assessment, and clinical decision‑making.
- Foster a supervision culture that is reflective, supportive, accountable, and growth‑oriented.
- Provide timely feedback, coaching, and documentation review to support clinician development and performance.
- Identify emerging clinical, ethical, or performance concerns and collaborate with the Outpatient Director on next steps.
- Support the delivery of evidence‑based, trauma‑informed, and culturally responsive outpatient services.
- Review clinical documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress notes) to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with agency and state standards.
- Support adherence to HIPAA, ethical guidelines, and Wisconsin licensure requirements.
- Provide consultation and support for high‑risk cases, crisis situations, and safety planning, including coordination with After Hours Support Line protocols.
- Support clinicians in meeting service hour expectations and documentation timelines while maintaining quality care.
- Partner with the Outpatient Director to reinforce standardized clinical processes, policies, and expectations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, department initiatives, and quality improvement efforts.
- Support onboarding and mentorship of new outpatient clinicians.
- Maintain a limited outpatient caseload to remain clinically engaged and model best practices.
- Deliver high‑quality psychotherapy services consistent with agency values and standards.
Skills & Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Counseling/Clinical Psychology, or Marriage & Family Therapy.
- Active Wisconsin mental health licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist) in good standing for a minimum of 2 years.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of post‑licensure clinical experience providing outpatient psychotherapy.
- Demonstrated experience providing clinical supervision or consultation to mental health clinicians.
- Strong grounding in trauma‑informed, culturally responsive, and evidence‑based clinical practice.
- Demonstrated commitment to serving BIPOC and historically marginalized communities.
- Ability to provide clear, supportive, and constructive feedback while maintaining accountability.
- Strong clinical judgment, ethical decision‑making, and risk assessment skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including timely and accurate documentation.
- Proficiency with EHR systems, documentation platforms, and telehealth delivery.
- Comfort navigating technology tools including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and electronic forms.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining continuing education requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Training or certification in trauma‑focused or culturally specific treatment approaches (e.g., EMDR, TF‑CBT).
- Experience supervising clinicians working with children, adolescents, and families.
