Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, or 11:30 AM–8:00 PM with weekend and holiday rotation
Compensation: $18.60+ per hour
Hours per Week: 20
Weekends: Some

As an Ambulatory Pharmacy Technician
, you will support the operation of the Outpatient Pharmacy by performing the technical aspects of filling prescriptions such as collecting patient demographics and insurance information, inputting prescriptions into the computer system, ensuring accurate and efficient adjudication of online claims, counting/measuring and/or reconstituting drug products, compounding medications when needed and collecting payment. In addition to these filling activities, you will perform clerical duties such as answering phones, opening mail, initiating prior authorizations, and assisting in record-keeping including inventory control.
You will also be responsible for maintaining high personal standards of customer service and satisfaction.
As an Discharge Specialist Pharmacy Technician
, you will facilitate and expedite the medication‑related discharge process by supporting the functions of Inpatient Pharmacists, Discharge Pharmacists, and the Outpatient Pharmacy staff. Your responsibilities include proactively reviewing and verifying patients’ drug benefit information to ensure reimbursement requirements are met, obtaining payment information for patients using Meriter Outpatient Pharmacy at discharge, processing test claims for discharge medications, and handling medication prior authorizations/requests.
You will work with floor staff to identify patients who are unable to afford their medications and enroll them in appropriate assistance programs. Additionally, you will facilitate bedside delivery of prescriptions, assist the Outpatient/Discharge Pharmacist with copay collection, and physically deliver prescriptions to patients.

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year.
- Certification/License: Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services, or a pending application for registration by start date.
