TNAA Total Med Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Madison, Wisconsin.

We are looking for a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Madison, WI. The right Rad Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

As a Rad Tech, you will be responsible for the use of diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. Rad Techs are also responsible for preparing and caring for patients undergoing radiologic testing.

  • Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required.
  • Follow orders from physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging.
  • Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to appropriate positions.
  • Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to patients by taking appropriate protection precautions.
  • Calibrate imaging equipment.
  • Prepare results for physicians to review.
  • Maintain accurate patient records.
  • Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience and BLS, ARRT (Registered Radiation Technologist) certification, and state-specific licensing when required.

Rad Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Rad Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

  • Certification:
    ARRT (R), BLS, 2 Years of experience

* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Total Med Allied Job . Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Posted job title:
