Perfusionist - Adult​/Pediatric

Work Schedule

Full-time, 100% FTE, day/evening/night shift. Monday – Friday between the hours of 7:00 am – 3:00 pm, rotating night and weekend on‑call responsibilities. Hours may vary based on operational needs of the department.

We are seeking a Perfusionist to:

• Provide cardiopulmonary life support for high‑acuity surgical procedures utilizing cardiopulmonary bypass and ECMO.
• Support procedures in the Cath lab, Hybrid OR and Intensive Care Units.
• Assist in the design of institutional protocols and provide continuing education of staff and operating room personnel.
• Encourage and actively support the mission of the Cardiac Surgery, ECMO and Mechanical Circulatory Assist programs.

• Bachelor’s Degree and graduate of Perfusion program – required.
• Master’s Degree in related field – preferred.

• 3 years of post‑training clinical experience providing CPB for adult cardiac surgical procedures including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve replacements and aortic aneurysm repairs – preferred.
• Experience in providing CPB for cardiac transplantation, ventricular assist device implantation and congenital pediatric procedures – preferred.

• Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) as recognized by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) – within 12 months, required.
• State of Wisconsin Licensure as a Licensed Perfusionist – within 6 months, required.
• CPR certification – within 3 months, required.
• Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) as recognized by ABCP – preferred.
• State of Wisconsin Licensed Perfusionist – preferred.
