- Strong skills in cardiac/thoracic surgeries including ECMO, CABG, LVAD, thoracic procedures, VATS, and lung resections.
- Experience in Level II Trauma settings.
Description:
Day/evening shifts are required, operating from 0640 to 1910.Workdays will vary Monday through Friday.
Weekend and call responsibilities are expected.
The Surgical Technologist prepares the operating room prior to surgery.
They promote the safety of patients during surgery.
The Technologist provides assistance to the surgeon during the procedure.
They also care for the instruments and supplies used in surgery.
The incumbent must possess the knowledge and skills required to effectively care for patients across all age groups including neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
They should be comfortable working independently and may need to float as required.
Candidates with only military experience will need to be screened for clarification.
Compliance with potential testing for telemetry is necessary before starting.
Before submission, technical proficiency in complex procedures is essential.
Failure to meet the skills requirements will lead to screening or redirection.
Pass/fail testing with strict passing criteria applies.
