The Rawal Institute (TRI, Inc.) seeks a full-time Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)with recent phlebotomy experienceto join our busy practice in Madison. The MA/LPN will be responsible for providing clinical support to the provider and patients, maintaining documentation and efficient clinical flow, and ensuring that our patients are diagnosed, treated and monitored to the highest standards of care.

In addition, the MA/LPN will cross-cover the front desk and provide other support as needed.

We are looking for someone with a great attitude and a willingness to learn. We are looking for a team member who is detail oriented, strong at multi-tasking and dedicated to high quality care delivery. Daily tasks include comprehensive preparation of patients for consultations, procedures and surgery, as well as assisting the doctor with these. There are many nuances that are particular to our practice, so expect to be learning something new from day one!

The ideal candidate is one who has previous Dermatology or Cosmetic Surgery experience, a cosmetology or aesthetic background, and solid experience in pleasant face-to-face and phone customer service. Team members must also be able to pivot quickly, in response to patient needs, and be able to maintain a positive attitude in stressful situations.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Escorting patients, taking vitals and documenting medical history and medications
• Appointment scheduling and pre-visit planning with provider
• Assisting provider in EHR documentation and orders
• Making and responding to patient emails, phone calls & messages
• Assisting with in-office surgical and aesthetic procedures and sterile processing of instruments
• Performing phlebotomy for procedures and lab assessments-recent active phlebotomy experience is a MUST
• Inspecting the facilities and acting to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing rooms etc.)
• 1-3 years’ experience working as a Medical Assistant/LPN is a MUST
• Prior experience working at a Dermatology or Cosmetic Surgery practice is preferred
• Knowledge of electronic medical records, e-prescribing, scheduling and charge entry
• Good communication skills (telephone and in-person)
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive, friendly attitude
• Ability to work well with a team
