Pediatric Hybrid Perfusionist

Full-time, 100% FTE, day/evening/night shift. Monday – Friday between the hours of 7:00am – 3:00pm, rotating night and weekend on-call responsibilities. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Relocation assistance may be available for qualified applicants.

• Provide cardiopulmonary life support for high acuity surgical procedures utilizing cardiopulmonary bypass and ECMO.
• Support procedures in the Cath lab, Hybrid OR and Intensive Care Units.
• Assist in the design of institutional protocols and provide continuing education of staff and operating room personnel.
• Encourage and actively support the mission of the Cardiac Surgery, ECMO and Mechanical Circulatory Assist programs.

• Bachelor's Degree and graduate of Perfusion program – Required.
• Master's Degree in related field – Preferred.

• 3 years of post-training clinical experience providing CPB for adult cardiac surgical procedures including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve replacements, and aortic aneurysm repairs – Preferred.
• Experience in providing CPB for cardiac transplantation, ventricular assist device implantation, and congenital pediatric procedures – Preferred.

• Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) as recognized by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) within 12 months – Required.
• State of Wisconsin Licensure as a Licensed Perfusionist within 6 months – Required.
• CPR certification within 3 months – Required.
• Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) as recognized by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) – Preferred.
• State of Wisconsin Licensed Perfusionist – Preferred.
