City Barbeque is looking for a Full‑time Catering Field Coordinator. This position pays $19 per hour plus a portion of gratuity (most of our Catering Coordinators make $50‑$55k+).
Coordinate, plan and execute full‑service and drop‑off catering events. Work closely with the Catering Operations Manager to promote our mission, vision, values, and culture, and to support the growth of City Barbeque.
Responsibilities- Schedule, coordinate and supervise hourly teammates and catering associates to execute catering/drops.
- Act as the lead person/manager‑on‑duty for all full‑service events in the absence of the Catering Operations Manager.
- Ensure that catering experiences are stress‑free for clients by guaranteeing on‑time, correct orders and that associates are prepared for set‑up and execution.
- Collaborate with the Catering Operations Manager to plan staffing needs, interview new hires, and provide input to the Catering Director regarding selections.
- Organize and maintain drop sheets, updating them as new orders are created and ensuring they match invoices and schedules.
- Complete all paperwork for events, including invoices and drop sheets, and prepare/print all required paperwork for Catering Associates such as invoices, drop sheets, full‑service contracts, tax‑exempt certifications, and Keep and Share Calendar.
- Check Microsoft Outlook Calendar & Sales Force for correct invoices and drop sheets.
- Communicate with restaurant management ahead of time regarding orders that have special items (e.g., fruit trays, veggie trays, cheese trays) for proper ordering.
- Communicate with restaurant management regarding any required catering paper product.
- Ensure all catering equipment, assigned catering areas and catering vehicles are kept clean and organized at all times, and monitor associates to adhere to cleanliness standards after events.
- Report any equipment repairs or needs to the Catering Operations Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Valid driver’s license for at least two years and reliable transportation.
- Pass a Motor Vehicle Background check.
- Positive verbal and non‑verbal communication skills.
- Good time management and organization skills.
- Ability to work with a constantly changing schedule that is updated daily.
- Expectation of excellence.
- Integrity to do the right thing when unsupervised.
