Position Overview

The HCM Product Manager is responsible for the strategy, performance, and ongoing optimization of the organization’s Human Capital Management (HCM) platform. This role ensures the system is secure, reliable, and effectively supports HR, payroll, benefits, and reporting needs across the organization.

This position partners closely with HR, Payroll, Benefits, and IT teams to leverage technology, data, and analytics to improve business outcomes, strengthen HR operations, and align HCM capabilities with overall organizational strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and promote alignment with organizational values and service standards.
  • Own the strategic direction and roadmap for the HCM platform.
  • Deliver a reliable, efficient HCM environment with a strong focus on internal customer experience.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and governance requirements.
  • Provide training, guidance, and best practices to drive effective system usage.
  • Lead and support HRIS team members through clear goals, feedback, and performance management.
HCM Operations, Reporting & Governance
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for the HCM platform.
  • Oversee system access, security roles, and permissions.
  • Manage vendor relationships with Dayforce and related consulting partners to ensure strong service delivery.
  • Maintain system integrity, including data accuracy, reporting, backups, restores, and EDI file feeds.
  • Lead structured change management efforts, documenting enhancements, testing outcomes, and configuration updates.
  • Drive user adoption through training, communication, and ongoing support.
  • Conduct regular audits of employee data to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Enhancements, Analytics & Collaboration
  • Lead deployments of system updates and evaluate new features and enhancements.
  • Act as project lead for system design initiatives, new applications, and service requests.
  • Develop and deliver HR dashboards, metrics, and reports aligned with HR and business objectives.
  • Partner with IT on integrations, upgrades, testing, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and Benefits teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee data and payroll.
  • Partner with IT to design and optimize the JIRA Service Management intake process for Dayforce-related requests.
  • Maintain process documentation and develop new procedures as needed.
  • Perform impact analyses for proposed configuration changes and recommend deployment sequencing.
  • Oversee support ticket prioritization and resolution.
  • Stay current on HCM and HR analytics trends and best practices
Qualifications Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 8–10 years of experience in HRIS administration, configuration, and reporting;
    Dayforce experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading system implementations, enhancements, and change initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. payroll, benefits, and HR reporting requirements, including EEOC and PPACA.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and how they translate into HCM functionality.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and SQL.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong prioritization and execution skills.
  • Extensive experience with business requirements gathering and documentation.
  • Proven troubleshooting and post-production support experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Dayforce configuration, upgrades, testing, and support.
  • Working knowledge of data privacy and security standards.
