Talent Manager, HR Manager
Overview
Responsible for providing support in the functional areas of Human Resources including compensation, benefits, staffing, employee relations, equal employment opportunity (EEO), employee development, labor relations, and related areas. Ensures adherence to company policies, procedures, and related government regulations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Provide a full range of HR support to include compensation, performance management, employee relations, training & development, benefits and employment law.
- Review and interpret HR Policies and Procedures, make recommendation to senior management regarding new policies and changes to existing policies, meeting legal requirements and business objectives.
- Provide resolution for employee compensation/benefit related issues.
- Facilitate resolution of confidential and sensitive employee relations issues by working with senior level management and employees. Oversees all disciplinary actions.
- Deliver training programs, individually and in teams including presentation, facilitation, and coaching. Evaluate training processes.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process.
- Counsel employees on benefit plan options and employee eligibility. Assist in the preparation of benefit plan communication.
- Maintain personnel records and process personnel actions.
- Prepare and/or supervise preparation of complex statistical reports.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual payroll, vendor or expense reports.
- Maintain the financial accounts, books and reports in an acceptable condition. Review and audit records which include but are not limited to:
General ledger and supporting journals of original entry maintained for contract activities and reports. - Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of job-related experience or equivalent.
- PHR or SPHR Certification preferred.
- Experience in a Unionized environment preferred.
- Must have the ability to interpret and implement local policies.
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills and working knowledge of Excel/word-processing and integrated software applications is essential.
- People oriented and results driven.
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Position may require travel.
- Typical office environment with no unusual hazards.
- Occasional lifting to 20 pounds.
- Must possess planning/organizing skills.
- Must be able to work under deadlines.
The annual starting salary for this position is between $105,000-$120,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position may be eligible for bonus or long-term incentive compensation awards.
