The QTI Group is recruiting for an experienced labor relations professional to join our client as Human Resources Manager. As a member of a collaborative HR team, you will serve as a trusted partner to leaders and employees, with a primary focus on labor relations, leave management, policy administration and workforce support.
We seek a hands-on HR professional who thrives in an environment where no two days are the same as you solve complex employee issues and balance compliance requirements with business needs.
Employee Relations- Serve as a key HR partner in labor relations activities, including contract administration, grievance resolution, labor‑management meetings, and collective bargaining support.
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that supports employee engagement and retention.
- Administer employee leave programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation coordination, and other protected leaves of absence.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Partner with employees, managers, and third‑party vendors to facilitate the leave and return‑to‑work process.
- Provide guidance on accommodation requests and interactive process requirements.
- Support workforce planning, recruiting, and talent management initiatives to meet evolving business needs.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify opportunities for workforce and process improvements.
- Collaborate with HR and business leaders on employee development programs, special projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a union or multi‑site manufacturing environment
- Experience leading employee relations and investigations
- Strong working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, leave administration, and employment law compliance
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict‑resolution skills
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
