Job Description

Are you a people-first HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? One of Robert Half's clients is seeking an HR Generalist to support a broad range of human resources functions, with an immediate emphasis on full-cycle recruiting and talent acquisition. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing day-to-day HR responsibilities while helping attract and onboard the skilled talent needed to keep operations running smoothly.

Must be located within a commutable distance to the west side of Madison!

Responsibilities
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts for manufacturing, operations, and support roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, coordinating offers, and onboarding new hires.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, develop recruiting strategies, and fill positions in a timely and effective manner.
  • Support general HR functions such as employee relations, policy administration, performance management, and HR compliance.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and assist with HRIS updates, reporting, and other administrative processes.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure new employees have a positive start and are prepared for success in a manufacturing setting.
  • Assist with initiatives that support employee engagement, retention, training, and overall workforce planning.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of HR experience, with direct recruiting experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting hiring within manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or other fast-paced operational environments preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, employee relations, and onboarding processes.
  • Experience using an HRIS and applicant tracking system; familiarity with high-volume recruiting is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
