Job Summary:The Office of Career & Professional Development (OCPD) at the University of Wisconsin Law School is seeking an energetic, service- and detail-oriented team member to support the Office’s efforts to provide Law students with rewarding career opportunities. OCPD provides a diverse study body with individualized career counseling, programming related to job search skills and resources, networking opportunities, and various recruitment programs, and facilitates pro bono and experiential learning programs.
The OCPD Program & Recruitment Coordinator will use the Career Services Management tool 12twenty to coordinate on- and off-campus recruiting programs, update the OCPD job bank, assist in planning and executing OCPD events, manage student and employer profiles and access, and manage the OCPD calendar. The Program & Recruitment Coordinator will serve as the first point of contact for many employer and student email and telephone inquiries, manage the OCPD weekly newsletter, manage OCPD expenses, and assist with other administrative tasks necessary for the operation of OCPD.
Position can be hired as little as 75% time (30 hours/week) or up to full-time (40 hours/week) dependent upon the successful candidate's preference.
Will require periodic evening work for OCPD recruiting events (approximately six events per year with substantial advanced notice).
KeyJob Responsibilities:
- Provides students with information about internship opportunities, career planning, and/or employment opportunities and/or coaches students through the recruiting process
- Proactively develops relationships and working knowledge of relevant industries
- Schedules logistics and secures resources for on-campus recruiting activities
- Serves as a point of contact for prospective employers providing advice and information about recruitment, engagement, hiring students, and addressing their needs
- Manages Office of Career and Professional Development's expenses, calendar, and additional administrative duties.
- Participates in the campus-wide career services community providing input to leadership regarding the development of advising, recruitment, and co/curricular programs offered by the school/college

Compensation:Minimum fulltime (100% FTE) 12-month salary is $50,000, but starting salary will be commensurate with the successful candidate's knowledge, skills, and previous experience.

This position may be hired as a full-time (40 hours/week) or part-time as little as 75% time (30 hours/week).
Position may work partially remote after a successful probationary period, and mutual agreement between the employee and supervisor.
Education:Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
