Surveillance & Access Network Control Technician

Overview

Our client, a leading organization in facilities management and security systems, is seeking a Surveillance & Access Network Control Technician to join their dedicated team. As a Surveillance & Access Network Control Technician, you will be part of the Facilities Support Department supporting a wide network of locations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.

• Design, plan, install, and support facilities-based systems including surveillance, door control, building automation, and telecommunication systems.
• Support desktop PCs, servers, network devices, storage solutions, and surveillance-specific equipment across multiple locations.
• Install, configure, maintain, and monitor statewide networks, including filtering with Palo Alto and Zscaler, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Create and update extensive system documentation and project tracking reports.
• Travel within the state for site visits, often independently, with occasional overnight stays planned in advance.

• At least 10 years of experience supporting surveillance, network, and server systems or related fields.
• Proficiency in Cisco networking (routers and switches) with a minimum of 3 years' experience.
• Knowledge of web filtering technologies such as Palo Alto and Zscaler, with 1-2 years' experience.
• Experience with video surveillance systems, including network, server, and workstation support, with 1-2 years' experience.
• Willingness to travel within the state and work independently, demonstrating strong troubleshooting and improvisational skills.
