Oracle Database Administrator (1.19) – Madison, WI

Hybrid schedule: 2 days onsite per week in Madison, WI. Candidates must relocate if not local and be located in Madison, WI from day one.

Duration: 12+ months with option of extension.

Advanced Oracle Application Database Administrator. Best-qualified candidates will have strong Oracle application, OEM, and Erwin experience using Oracle 12.x to 18.x environments.

This position provides advanced-level technical expertise and support within the Technical Services Section for DWD's Oracle database environment.

• Database security administration, research, implementation, maintenance, tuning, and troubleshooting of database architectures and data management software for various platforms.
• Work with application development staff on logical database design.
• Design and implement physical databases including multi-agency OLTP and data warehouse.
• Collaborate on the design and installation of maintenance and upgrades to database software.
• Monitor performance and make tuning recommendations.
• Estimate database growth for capacity planning; determine and resolve problems.
