Overview
Position:
Accessibility Compliance Manager
Location:
Austin, TX (Remote within US)
This is with State client, Can work on only on W2 Contract.
Required Experience,Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in Electronic Information Resources (EIR) accessibility initiatives and strategies, including developing, maintaining, and improving the following: policies; EIR compliance review and approval procedures; technical guidelines for meeting statutory requirements regarding EIR accessibility; implementation and remediation plans; and processes for receiving and responding to reports of inaccessible EIR.
- Knowledge of EIR Accessibility Laws and Standards, including 1 TAC 206 (Texas Administrative Code), 1 TAC 213, and TGC 2054. 451 subchapter M, and current WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines).
- Knowledge of EIR challenges associated with state procurement and contracts.
- Ability to analyze and interpret program and technical information regarding EIR accessibility statutes, rules, regulations, standards, and policies.
- Ability to use various accessibility applications (JAWS, Zoom Text, WAVE, Adobe Suite, Sort Site).
Skills and Qualifications
- Preferred certification as a Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC).
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with multiple stakeholders and customers, implementing outreach and education programs, and managing projects related to EIR Accessibility.
- Progressive experience with digital accessibility programs or Information and Communications Technology (ICT) accessibility.
