Service Desk Technician

Overview

TEKsystems is hiring a Service Desk Technician to support a large enterprise environment serving users across multiple locations throughout Wisconsin. This role is ideal for someone with prior helpdesk or service desk experience who enjoys troubleshooting technical issues and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced support environment.

Location & Work Environment

Madison, WI

• First day onsite for onboarding/equipment pickup
• Remote after onboarding/training
• Must reside in Wisconsin

This is a call center/service desk environment where technicians are measured on:

• Call handling time
• Availability
• Wrap-up time
• Overall ticket productivity

The support team consists of approximately 10 technicians supporting users statewide.

Compensation

• $20/hr
• Long-term ongoing contract
• Stable environment with consistent support needs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support to end users throughout Wisconsin
• Troubleshoot:
  • Windows 10/11 issues
  • Office 365 support
  • Password resets
  • Email issues
  • Internet connectivity problems
  • Hardware/software support requests
• Support various internal business applications
• Utilize ticketing and remote support tools for issue resolution
• Assist with hardware-related projects as needed

Required Experience

• 2+ years of Helpdesk/Service Desk experience
• 2+ years supporting Windows 10/11
• 2+ years supporting Microsoft Office 365
• Experience working in a call center/helpdesk environment
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience with ACD/call queue systems
• Experience using remote support and ticketing tools
• Enterprise remote support experience

This is a Contract position based out of Madison, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
