RFIs RFP DB2 SQL Server Consultant – Madison, WI

Consultant role focusing on RFIs, RFP, DB2, and SQL Server. Contract position for 12 months with compensation on a DOE basis.

Skills required:

RFIs, RFP, DB2, SQL Server.

The consultant will work on a variety of DTSD Engineering projects, including migration, cloud-based, GIS, and others.

• Design, plan, and coordinate work teams using project management industry practices and PMI framework.
• Understands business and technical objectives of projects and works closely with project sponsors.
• Create project charter and work plan, track budget and schedule progress via metrics.
• Establish project organization, methodologies, and define roles and responsibilities.
• Gather, document, and document business requirements, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Manage scope and create/implement a communication plan that coordinates communication between development teams, technical support, business experts, vendors, third-party technology providers, and other stakeholders.
• Build an effective team, assign tasks, evaluate outcomes, and negotiate resources.
• Communicate to stakeholders and sponsors, identify, track, and resolve issues, and remove barriers.
• Provide technical support to team members and handle complex application features and technical designs.
• Design and implement components required for complex application features.
• Generally manage a group of application systems analysts.

• Professional certification highly desirable.
• Project Manager capabilities with 11 or more years of experience.
• Capable of managing a project with up to ten (10) or more staff, or multiple sub-projects.
• Knowledge of relational database concepts (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server) is a plus.
