IT Asset Technician

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Provides inventory management services for Technology Services assets throughout the organization.
• Maintains an inventory management system for accurate tracking of all technology assets.
• Maintains a consistent supply of hardware including repair/replacement parts, CPUs, printers, monitors, cables, docks, and all other equipment necessary to maintain the efficient technological functioning of all locations.
• Maintains an orderly and organized storage system for all technology services assets.
• Organizes and facilitates the removal of technology services assets from inventory.
• Maintains the order tracking system for all inbound technology services assets.
• Receives inbound shipments and assigns unique identification numbers to each item. Creates and affixes I.D. tags and bar codes to all IT assets.
• Enters unique I.D. tracking numbers into the inventory management system along with other pertinent use information.
• Maintains an in-depth knowledge of Technology Services support products and services.
• Maintains a strong knowledge of the incident management system and reporting functionality.

• Strong technical troubleshooting and decision-making skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

Two years' work experience performing asset management duties in a medium to large work environment (500-2000 workstations).
