Job Title

Candidates MUST be WI residents or willing to relocate to WI at their own expense prior to starting. This position can work 100% remotely (within the state of WI).

Position goals:
Recommend and implement a reconciliation approach and methodology that uses/develops Standard Robust queries for Agencies to perform system reconciliations and monitoring.

Tasks Include:

• Review backlog of Agency queries
• Evaluate current reconciliation methodologies
• Evaluating current queries – edit/modify or discontinue use
• New Queries
• Potentially New nVision layouts
• Work with STAR Finance Team, SCO, and Agencies for business requirements

Required skills:

(5+ years)

• Must have Financial Functional Understanding of system data (Not just technical)
• Must have an understanding of GL and KK reporting
• Must understand Multiple Setids

Preferred skills:

Outputs:

• Reconciliation Queries by: GL Account Code, Fund, Appropriation, Operating Unit, & Department :
• GL to KK
• GL to Each Submodule (AR, BI, EXP, AP, AM, LA, PC, TR, CM, CST-ACCTG)
• Project Costing (PC) Reconciliation
• Monitoring queries
• Exception Reporting (E.g. Transactions not JGENed from a subsystem module. Budget Exceptions by module.)
• Potential partnership with the BI Team to use their front-end dashboard for presenting results.
• Updated query training material for section.
• Update documentation for query standards.

In Scope:

• Queries
• Potentially nVision and/or BI Team’s front
  -end dashboard for presentation of results
• Query training for section

Out of Scope:

• Application Engines
• BI Publisher

Many queries written around go-live were/are:

• Inefficient
• Incorrect
• Incomplete
• Ambiguous
• Outdated (New functionality)
• Lack of understanding by the query writers
