Project Manager
The Department of Natural Resources Information Technology (DNR IT) executive program is seeking applicants for a Project Manager position to support the Division of Environmental Management, Bureau of Remediation and Redevelopment.
Responsibilities include orienting to current applications and collaborating with team members, leading discussions and interviewing stakeholders to understand business processes, researching and documenting current processes and workflows, thoroughly documenting the business needs through requirements gathering, analyzing business requirements and proposing innovative solutions using data analytics, creating solutions aligned with program goals, identifying process improvement opportunities, understanding regulatory and reporting requirements, communicating with stakeholders and transferring knowledge to the development team, and creating and overseeing a comprehensive workplan, monitoring progress and adjusting timelines and strategies as necessary to ensure efficient project execution.
Reporting to the DNR IT PMO Supervisor and Business Relationship Manager, this position adheres to DNR IT standards, software, and tools to fulfill its tasks effectively.
The most qualified candidate will have direct experience as a business analyst collaborating with IT professionals to develop technical specifications and requirements for custom applications, skill in managing IT complex projects, leading teams, supporting stakeholders, and implementing IT infrastructure, proficiency in business analysis methodologies, including investigative techniques, workflows, use cases, and user stories, expertise in data analysis tools like SQL, Excel, data visualization, and statistical analysis software, ability to collaborate with technical experts, end users and other stakeholders to gather information about functions, features, data requirements, input requirements, and output requirements, experience with requirements management tools such as Confluence or Dev Ops, proficiency in project management methodologies like Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or Waterfall, ability to create technical specifications, identify project roles, track resources, budgets, and monitor project progress, strong communication skills for reporting, conflict resolution, and stakeholder engagement, ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to changing demands, and facilitate risk management, knowledge of system analysis techniques, business intelligence tools, Oracle databases, and SDLC, experience writing clear and concise documentation for technical and non-technical audiences, and highly self-motivating with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.
Additional skills include familiarity with SharePoint, legacy applications, and government environments.
