Position: Oracle DBA PEOPLESOFT Web Logic SQL Scripting Bash Scripting Analyst

Overview

People Soft Administrator and DBA position builds databases, performance tuning, and process improvements analysis. Provides support for the STAR enterprise system for all agencies. Evaluates and recommends changes to current and future architecture for upgrades and patching cycles. Maintains consistency of performance throughout. Customizes and configures integration of client/server of the ERP system. Ensure consistency of architecture between both datacenters supporting the ERP system.

Responsibilities

Primary logical Oracle DBA for all STAR production and non-production People Soft databases.

Identify poor performing SQL and tune using OEM, V$ASH views, views implementing index improvements, SQL Profiles, SQL Baselines or SQL code change recommendations.

Primary logical Oracle DBA for STAR Analytics databases.

Primary Oracle Golden Gate admin for STAR Analytics integrations with STAR. Design and implement all Golden Gate integrations. Monitor Golden Gate performance and diagnose and fix issues.

Perform refreshes of non-prod People Soft databases including scripting nightly FIX refreshes. Reload analytics databases as needed.

Perform all standard and advanced People Soft Administrator activities including monitoring, configuration and problem diagnosis for all STAR production and non-production Tuxedo, Weblogic and Open search servers.

Develop bash, SQL and Ansible scripting to automate maintenance and monitoring.

Provide basic Linux administration for STAR Linux servers including patching.

Implement new monitoring actions in STAR monitoring system. Serve as admin for STAR monitoring system.

Mentor and provide knowledge to junior People Soft Administrators.

Provide leadership to the STAR People Soft Administrator team by coordinating task completion across the team.

Complete documentation of all procedures, code and changes authored by the contractor.

Qualifications

Expertise in Oracle database version 19 or higher including SQL performance tuning, Oracle performance views, OEM and loading data using datapump.

Expert in SQL scripting.

Skilled in bash scripting.

Working knowledge of Ansible.

Expert in all aspects of People Soft Administration.

Demonstrated ability in careful and accurate execution of ad hoc and scheduled maintenance.
