UX Designer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Madison, WI that is seeking a UX Designer.

Responsibilities:

* Design end-to-end user experience design for small-to-mid-sized initiatives, from concept through delivery and iteration

* Create and iterate design artifacts including user flows, journey maps (as needed), wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs

* Apply UX, accessibility, and design thinking principles to deliver intuitive, inclusive, and effective solutions

* Collaborate with product, engineering, research, content, and stakeholders to define problems, align on outcomes, and deliver solutions

* Translate user needs, research insights, and business requirements into clear, usable, and desirable experiences

* Facilitate and participate in critiques and working sessions to align teams and improve design quality

* Communicate design concepts, rationale, tradeoffs, and outcomes clearly to diverse audiences

REQUIREMENTS:

* 3+ years of experience in professional UX design

* Experience applying customer-centered design methodologies (e.g., Design Thinking, Lean UX) in a product or delivery environment

* Strong understanding of UX principles, interaction design, information architecture, and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG)

* Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, or similar)

* Ability to break down complex problems and deliver clear, actionable design solutions with increasing independence

* Experience working in cross-functional teams to deliver small-to-mid-sized initiatives from discovery through implementation

* Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills, including the ability to influence decisions through design rationale and evidence

* Demonstrated ability to incorporate user research, business needs, and technical constraints into practical design outcomes

* Ability to design solutions that are on brand, visually effective, and aligned to both user and business goals

* Familiarity with AI concepts and an understanding of how AI can be applied in user experience design

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
