HRIS Analyst (UKG​/Cognos BI) W2 Only

This role touches DoD contracts so we can only work with US Citizen's. We are unable to work with C2C or 1099 arrangements.

The HRIS Analyst serves as a functional and technical resource responsible for supporting the administration, reliability, and continuous enhancement of enterprise Human Resources systems, with a primary focus on UKG Pro and IBM Cognos Analytics
. This role partners closely with Human Resources and IT teams to translate business requirements into scalable system solutions and actionable reporting while ensuring data integrity, system reliability, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis skills with technical expertise in HR systems, reporting, SQL, and troubleshooting. This individual will support day-to-day HRIS operations, investigate and resolve system issues, develop reporting solutions, participate in system enhancements, and contribute to ongoing process improvements.

• Administer, support, and maintain UKG Pro and related HR systems to ensure reliability, security, and data integrity.
• Perform system configuration, maintenance, and validation activities.
• Support system upgrades, releases, patches, and testing efforts.
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to optimize HR operations.

• Partner with HR stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into system enhancements and technical solutions.
• Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
• Analyze current business processes and recommend improvements through technology and automation.
• Create process documentation, workflows, and functional specifications.

• Design, develop, and maintain reports using IBM Cognos Analytics.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to support reporting, troubleshooting, and data validation.
• Produce recurring and ad hoc reports for HR leadership and business stakeholders.
• Ensure reporting accuracy through thorough testing and validation of data.

• Investigate HRIS issues, data discrepancies, and reporting errors.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions.
• Support ticket resolution through the organization's IT service management process.
• Escalate complex issues while providing detailed analysis and recommendations.

• Develop and execute test plans for system enhancements, upgrades, and configuration changes.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.
• Validate system functionality and reporting accuracy before production deployment.
• Document testing results and support production readiness activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, reporting capabilities, and system functionality.
• Recommend automation opportunities, including emerging AI capabilities where appropriate.
• Stay current on HR technology trends and best practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of experience supporting HRIS platforms, preferably UKG Pro

• Strong business and systems analysis experience.
• Experience gathering requirements, documenting business processes, and supporting solution design.
• Experience investigating system issues and performing root cause analysis.
• Experience supporting system configuration, maintenance, testing, and production support.
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries and joins.
• Experience creating and validating operational or HR reports.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience supporting Human Resources systems within a medium to large enterprise environment.
• Experience with HRIS integrations and data interfaces.
• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities within HR technology platforms.
