About the Role
Adams & Martin Group is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to provide meaningful, hands‑on involvement in cases from start to finish. The position offers the chance to work closely with clients, insureds, and expert witnesses while making significant contributions to defense strategies across a wide range of matters.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of insurance defense experience, a strong background in civil litigation and leadership, and be licensed to practice in Wisconsin (or eligible for admission).
Key Responsibilities (MUST BE LICENSED IN WI)- Manage litigation files independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Conduct fact investigations and incident‑site inspections.
- Work directly with clients, insureds, and expert witnesses.
- Handle document productions and discovery tasks.
- Prepare witnesses for deposition.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Draft pleadings, briefs, motions, and other legal documents.
- Review and analyze policies, contracts, and related materials.
- Prepare for and attend court hearings, including oral argument.
- Assist with trial preparation and participate in trial, including direct and cross‑examination of witnesses.
- Licensed in Wisconsin (required).
- 10+ years of civil litigation/insurance defense experience.
- Leadership experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong advocacy and analytical abilities.
- Ability to manage cases independently from inception to resolution.
- Strong leadership experience.
