Adams and Martin Group is working with a well‑established civil defense law firm with a strong regional and national footprint. The firm seeks an Insurance Defense Litigation Associate with 2–5 years of experience for its Madison, Wisconsin office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants to work closely with insurance carriers, handle meaningful case responsibilities, and develop a long‑term litigation career within a collaborative and reputable defense practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions.
  • Conduct written and oral discovery, including taking and defending depositions.
  • Prepare case evaluations, coverage analyses, and strategy recommendations for insurers.
  • Communicate directly with claims adjusters, insureds, and corporate clients.
  • Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and pretrial proceedings.
  • Assist with trial preparation and attend trial as opportunities arise.
Qualifications
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice in Wisconsin (or eligibility to become licensed promptly).
  • 2–5 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense.
  • Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage cases independently with attention to detail.
  • Comfort interacting with clients, carriers, and witnesses.
  • A proactive mindset and eagerness to grow within the insurance defense field.
