Role
Associate Director, Global Strategic Sourcing & Procurement at a biopharma company, leading global category strategies for direct spend including CROs, CDMOs, and clinical services.
Objectivesoptimize supplier performance, reduce costs, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance in a regulated environment.
Responsibilities- develop sourcing strategies aligned with pipeline priorities
- lead contract negotiations
- establish supplier relationships
- oversee procurement processes such as RFI/RFP, onboarding, and supplier governance
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Global Operations, CMC, Legal, Finance, and Procurement to ensure alignment, compliance, and cost savings
- BS in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related; 8+ years in pharma/biotech supply chain roles, with 5+ years in cGMP environments.
- strong negotiation, stakeholder management, project management, proficiency in MS Office, experience with work management tools (e.g., Smartsheet), and understanding of technical operations or CMC.
- experience leading complex strategic projects and developing operations network strategies for global markets.
- global sourcing, regulated biopharma environment, CRO/CDMO categories, CMC relevance, and cross-functional collaboration.
- onsite; location in Wisconsin or California with salary range ~$150K–$180K.
