Lunova Group is recruiting a results-driven General Manager to lead our client’s Madison operations within the elevator industry. This role is responsible for full branch leadership, including P&L ownership
, profitable revenue growth, and strategic oversight across all departments and business lines. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven operational leader with experience in the elevator industry or related building services sectors such as HVAC, fire and life safety, or mechanical contracting.

As the face of the branch, the General Manager will champion a safety-first culture
, foster teamwork and accountability, and lead with integrity and professionalism.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Supervises department managers and supervisors by providing direction, training, and clear communication of company policies, procedures, and objectives.
  • Leads and models the company’s commitment to safety while administering the safety program.
  • Ensures daily branch operations run efficiently and cost-effectively, meeting financial commitments including target EBIT and gross margin goals across all business lines.
  • Manages the P&L and uses accounting reports to monitor departmental performance and meet monthly budget goals.
  • Oversees service contract retention, directly engaging with all “at risk” accounts and leading customer retention initiatives.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, elevator consultants, building owners, managers, and prospects.
  • Ensures timely, consistent execution of the performance review process for union and non-union employees.
  • Maintains strong knowledge of the overall market and stays current on all federal, state, and local elevator code requirements, as well as employment and labor laws.
  • Maintains deep familiarity with company products through training, equipment updates, and supplier reviews.
  • Collaborates with regional and district teams across operations, sales, accounting, safety, and HR; ensures HR matters are aligned with the regional HR team.
  • Holds approval authority for purchasing, contract execution, contract modifications, price adjustments, and other required levels of oversight.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience in the elevator industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and developing talent.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify problems, gather data, interpret findings, and draw sound conclusions.
