Role Overview The Project Manager II will provide end to end project management support for the Get Kids Ready program. The role focuses on managing timelines, workplans, project artifacts, stakeholder communication, and ongoing program progress. This position requires strong critical thinking, written and verbal communication, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. A PMP certification (or recognized project management curriculum) is required at submission.
Key Responsibilities- Lead full lifecycle project management across assigned initiatives, including workplan oversight, schedules, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Manage internal and external stakeholder communication, including status updates to leadership, work groups, and partner organizations.
- Create and maintain project artifacts such as project plans, charters, status reports, risk logs, and mitigation plans.
- Oversee day to day project activities and track monthly program progress.
- Develop or implement automated tools to streamline project workflows and improve efficiency.
- Prepare written reports, executive briefings, and documentation supporting program needs.
- Ensure adherence to defined project methodologies, scope management practices, and communication plans.
- Identify, track, and resolve issues, risks, and barriers impacting project delivery.
- Support team members with technical or process questions as needed.
- 11+ years Project Management experience
- 11+ years with Project Artifacts (project plans, charters, status reports)
- 7+ years preparing written reports
- 7+ years communication skills (written & verbal)
- 5+ years preparing executive briefings
- 5+ years using MS Project or equivalent
- Certified PMP (or recognized project management curriculum) — Required at submission
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience leading business area projects
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
