Scale Operator/Dispatcher – organize customer orders and dispatch trucks for aggregate sales at various aggregate sites.
Responsibilities- Take aggregate orders and handle customer inquiries regarding products for various sites.
- Answer phones and route calls in support of commercial aggregate sales and operations.
- Generate and communicate sales orders to scale personnel and the finance department.
- Reconcile, correct, and upload aggregate tickets for commercial aggregate sites.
- Generate, communicate, and route pricing as needed to customers.
- Weigh and ticket incoming and outgoing truck loads.
- Print tickets and handle customer issues during the sales process.
- Perform general clerical duties or other record‑keeping as required.
- Provide administrative support to the Site Managers and quarry staff.
- Handle cash transactions and process cash deposit slips.
- Administer site‑specific training or information as needed.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
- Willingness and ability to work every other Saturday.
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to multi‑task.
- Ability to tolerate and work in variable weather conditions, and in dirty and dusty environments when scaling.
- Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record.
- Strong computer skills, especially with Office programs, and the ability to learn proprietary systems.
- Prior experience working with dispatching or scales (preferred).
- Prior experience working in customer service and cash‑handling roles (preferred).
- Must be self‑directed and motivated (preferred).
