The Department of Corrections is currently recruiting to fill a Financial Program Supervisor position. This position will be headquartered at the Department of Corrections Central Office
in Madison, WI.
This position works closely with Division of Adult institution's Budget and Policy Supervisor and OMB Director as well as staff in the Division of Management Services (DMS) and DAI. The primary responsibilities of this position are to oversee the financial operations, transactions of the DAI Central business office accounts as well as the Bureau of Health Service (BHS) units operating at the institutions.
The position is a divisional financial resource for the institution business offices. In addition, the position allocates fiscal resources and tracks expenditures for the Division, provides maintenance of the financial accounting system, conducts purchasing, capital asset management for DAI and oversees the bi-weekly distribution of court ordered funds for the division. This position directly coordinates and guides accounts payable, accounts receivable, travel reimbursement and general ledger journal transactions.
The position provides documentation and assistance with quarterly budget projections for DAI and serves as the primary back-up to the budget and program supervisor.
The starting pay is between $58739 and $96907 per year
, plus excellent benefits. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. The pay schedule/range is 81-03
. A 12-month probationary period is required.

Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application. The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.
Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency to employment. Applicants who fail or refuse the drug screen will not be given further consideration for employment.

- Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
This position can work up to 3 days per week remote. Final schedule will be determined upon hire.
QualificationsMinimally qualified applicants will have experience:
- Monitoring and auditing financial transactions to ensure accuracy
- Creating and maintaining financial reports and databases with various software (i.e. Excel, People Soft).
