ABOUT THE JOB
Reporting to the Region General Manager, the Sr. Manager, General Manager leads market operations, drives growth and profitability, and oversees safety, fleet, logistics, and customer service. The role develops and executes market growth strategies, builds a high‑performing team, and delivers on Will Scot’s core values.
Accountable for the market P&L, the Sr. Manager achieves revenue, EBITDA, and profitability targets and ensures operational excellence across multiple MSAs, with annual revenue ranging from $5M to $25M.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING- Develop and execute market growth strategies to increase penetration of Will Scot business lines.
- Manage the P&L and drive revenue growth and profitability.
- Lead and coach the field sales team, providing performance management to drive productivity.
- Oversee branch operations, fleet maintenance, labor and material planning, and safety.
- Supervise transportation and logistics operations, ensuring safe and profitable fulfillment.
- Improve local customer service operations to increase satisfaction and net promoter scores.
- Lead and coach employees across all functions to foster engagement and net promoter scores.
- Develop leaders within the market, creating a talent bench for management roles.
- Analyze market trends and provide feedback to divisional and corporate leadership.
- Collaborate with functional departments on planning, forecasting, competitive intelligence, customer solutions, operational best practices, and compliance matters.
Education and Experience
- B.S. in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible business unit management.
- Preferred: experience managing a P&L of at least $5M.
- Must be able to travel 25% of the time.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Experience driving sales performance and productivity.
- Experience leading a decentralized, branch‑based operating network.
- Experience in industrial transportation and logistics services.
- Strong network in industrial, business services, or construction sectors.
- Background in a rental/leasing business model or logistics.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong attention to detail and continuous improvement mindset.
- Excellent executive presence, presentation, and communication skills.
- Experience in a matrixed organization.
