Candidates MUST be WI residents or willing to relocate to WI at their own expense prior to starting. This position can work 100% remotely (within the state of WI).

Project Manager for the Client, within the Office of Strategic Communication (project management for UW websites & digital products)

Tasks/Job

Responsibilities include:

• Project Planning and Execution:
  Provide technical and analytical guidance to project teams, managing tasks, budget, scope, and timeline while applying project management methodologies to overcome obstacles and ensure successful project delivery.
• Team Coordination and Prioritization:
  Collaborate with the Digital Director to set team priorities and roadmap, and ensure effective communication between designers, developers, and writers to maintain focus on project goals and deadlines.
• Client and Stakeholder Communication:
  Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle, from initial conception to status reporting.

Skills Needed:

• Minimum of two years experience managing website / web application projects.
• Minimum of two years experience setting project goals, scope, and timeline, as well as regularly reporting on project status and forecasting team workload.
• Minimum of two years experience using Asana, Git Lab, or similar project management platform.

Nice to have:

• Experience with both Agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
• Project management certification such as Scrum certification or Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification.
