Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial in bringing our clients' visions to life by designing sophisticated and reliable technology systems for luxury residential properties. The Design Engineer will report directly to the Director of Sales and Design, playing a key role in the success of our projects from conception to initial implementation.
Responsibilities- Collaborate closely with the sales and design team to understand client needs and translate them into detailed technical designs.
- Develop comprehensive system schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment lists for luxury residential projects.
- Perform initial programming and configuration of Lutron lighting and shading control systems.
- Work with project managers and installation teams to ensure design integrity during project execution.
- Support testing and troubleshooting of systems to ensure optimal performance and client satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in home automation and integration.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and external partners as needed.
- Proven experience in designing and programming integrated technology systems, particularly in a luxury residential setting.
- Strong proficiency with Lutron control systems, including initial programming capabilities.
- Familiarity with other home automation platforms (e.g., Crestron Home, Control4, Josh.
AI). - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly task-oriented with a strong ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain focus on project objectives in a fast-paced environment.
