Description

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, performs a variety of duties to include leading a team of employees responsible for preparing, assembling, testing, and packaging according to the production schedule as well as the proper execution of tasks and general housekeeping/safety functions.

Key Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Effectively communicates job requirements to employees and assists in interpreting production schedule, etc.
  • Assists in training new employees.
  • Monitors schedules and requests adjustments from supervisor as necessary.
  • Makes adjustments to equipment or process as necessary and within established procedures.
  • Makes job assignments as necessary and within established procedures.
  • Maintains “team” environment within area of responsibilities.
  • Assists employees in the performance of their duties.
  • Assists in securing materials as required.
  • Maintains proper records and reports.
  • Communicates to Supervisors/Manager on any unusual conditions.
  • Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per Franklin Fueling Systems.
  • Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
  • Report problems with quality, process, equipment, and materials to Production Supervisor.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
  • Meets daily production schedule as assigned.
  • Uses available parts to assemble various parts according to operating instructions.
  • Operates various work stations to complete assembly of scheduled parts.
  • Actively participates in the production of product as needed.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Lead Responsibilities
  • Leads a team of employees responsible for preparing, assembling, testing, and packaging according to the production schedule as well as the proper execution of tasks.
  • Assists Supervisor with enforcing company policies and procedures.
  • Assists in training new employees.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to effectively communicate with and motivate all production floor employees.
  • Works with various hand and power tools.
  • Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Utilizes common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
  • Provides accurate work on a consistent basis meeting precise tolerances and standards.
  • Interpersonal skills sufficient to work closely with others on a team.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility in work environment performing a variety of frequently changing tasks.
  • Ability to work alone effectively under stress and in situations dangerous to self or others.
  • Completes some moderately repetitive tasks.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).
  • Six months or more experience working in a manufacturing type position (preferred).
Computer Skills
  • Basic computer skills (required).

  • Regularly required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.; push or pull; walk.
  • Occasionally required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.; sit; ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps; turn wrenches, valves, or handles; bend or twist; use upper extremities; reach above shoulders; reach to full extension.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include regular peripheral viewing; viewing length changes; close viewing with depth perception; and occasional distance viewing.
  • Specific hearing abilities required by this job include the need to perceive the spoken voice clearly and the need to hear warning signals up to 70dbs with or without assistance.
  • Specific speech abilities regularly required by this job include comprehensible speech.
