Candidate must possess strong communication skills both written and oral. Communicates with customer service teams, shop team members, other supervisors and managers. Supervises inspectors and quality technicians. Investigates reasons for defects. Trains employees on testing devices, methods and inspection techniques. Responsible for hiring and disciplining employees as well as conducting performance appraisals.
RequirementsThe following listed articles are required (or as deemed necessary by the hiring authority) for the initial acceptance of an Inspection Supervisor. A High School Diploma or Equivalent. Minimum of eight (6) years on the job experience in inspection or a related field or bachelors degree or associates degree and (3-4) years experience. Candidates should also have a basic knowledge of Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Word, and Visual Enterprise.
CWI
- Certified Welding Inspector Certification preferred but not required.

1.1 Ensures that customers receive the best quality product possible.
1.2 Recommends and implements enhancements to quality system.
1.3 Develop and enforce inspection policies and procedures.
1.5 Schedule department team members and third party inspections.
1.6 Develop corrective actions to reduce the cost of scrap and rework.
1.7 Monitor customer quality
1.9 Maintain relationship with customers, suppliers and team members.
1.10 Performance reviews
