Job Summary:
This role is responsible for improving production processes to enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and overall cost effectiveness. You will lead cross functional teams to optimize workflows, eliminate bottlenecks, develop best practices, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. You will also support employee training, daily operations, and project execution to help the facility achieve its production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Continuous Improvement and Project Leadership
- Work with Operations Management to plan and implement improvement projects
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and maintenance teams to resolve bottlenecks
- Coordinate cross functional project execution and verify results after changes are implemented
- Provide regular updates and progress reports to leadership from project start through completion
Training and Operational Support
- Support training initiatives for equipment operation, safety, and CNC router programming
- Develop and maintain standardized operating procedures to ensure consistent production practices
- Serve as a Production Supervisor when needed to support daily operations
Technical Responsibilities
- Assist with CNC router programming and ensure proper utilization of programming standards
- Oversee tooling procurement and tooling usage across various routers in the facility
- Use hand tools and support production as needed
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with internal and customer standards
- Recommend and implement process improvements that drive efficiency and quality
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred
- Three to five years industrial manufacturing experience
- Experience with tooling, routers, and basic hand tools (expanders, etc.)
- Mid-Senior level
