Job Summary

The Associate Assembler is responsible for the precision assembly of mechanical and electrical components while ensuring all output meets strict quality and safety standards.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible and accountable for producing quality work to prescribed standards, with a focus on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule and within budget
  • Follow written work instructions and maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures including those which govern the handling of materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment (WHMIS)
  • Properly use required PPE
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Perform entry‑level assembly functions, which may include: prep, mechanical, harness, cable, printed circuit board sub‑assemblies, spray application, and inspection, typically working from models and/or drawings, within Production
  • Perform simple assemblies and hardware installation screws, washers, nuts and have basic understanding of build documentation
  • Perform pull‑test and verify tooling, use torque tools and have the ability to interpret & assemble multiple units in depth Basic troubleshooting
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures including those which govern the handling of materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment (WHMIS)
  • Must be able to access production tools (routers, parts list, work instructions, etc) and be able to wire prep, auto bond, sleeving
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
