Job Description & How to Apply Below
Arnold Magnetic Technologies Technology Center
At the Arnold Magnetics Technology Center, we design and build high-performance electric motor components for some of the most demanding applications in the world — from aerospace and defense to motor sport and academic research. Our Technology Center is a small, fast-moving engineering lab where ideas become working prototypes. We're looking for an Assembly Technician who enjoys precision work, creative problem-solving, and seeing their craftsmanship come to life in cutting-edge hardware.
WhatYou'll Do
- Hands-On Assembly & Fabrication
- Perform stator coil insertions, lamination stacking, and permanent-magnet assembly.
- Assemble, test, and debug prototype and pre-production components.
- Use hand tools and precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, Gauss meters, Flux meters, etc.) to verify tolerances and performance.
- Follow and improve assembly and testing work instructions according to quality standards.
- Record build data, test results, and observations with high attention to detail.
- Work closely with other engineers to refine designs and manufacturing methods.
- Design or modify tooling and fixtures to support prototype builds.
- Participate in design reviews and provide hands‑on feedback from the build process.
- 2- or 4-year technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Skilled at working with small components and fine wiring within tight tolerances.
- Demonstrated craftsmanship, precision, and pride in producing high-quality work.
- Comfortable reading drawings and technical instructions.
- Basic CAD or 3D modeling experience.
- Familiarity with electromagnetic assemblies, motor winding, or electrical testing.
- Curiosity about how things work and eagerness to learn new techniques.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or R&D environments.
- Be part of a small, innovative team where your work directly contributes to next-generation electric motor technology.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers in a dynamic prototyping environment.
- Work on mission‑critical projects across aerospace, defense, and motor sport industries.
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to running machinery.
