CNC Lathe Machinist 2 - 2nd or 3rd Shift

Wisconsin, US
Shift: 2nd or 3rd shift, with 1st shift training.
Job Summary: This position is in the Lathe Department, and it involves moving from one machine to another as needed when the workload shifts. The machines could include 2- and 3-axis Mazak Quick Turns, DMG Mori Lathes, and Bar feeders. The individual in this role will perform a series of complex machine operations, including setup and programming to meet precise tolerances and finishing requirements.
This will involve reading and editing G & M code and performing first piece and in-process quality inspections. The position will also involve running different grades of material and performing multiple set‑ups a day.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- 5 years of CNC machine setup and programming/advanced editing experience required
- Experience performing multiple setups per day and running different grades of material required
- Mazatrol conversational programming knowledge preferred
- Knowledge of 2- and 3-axis Mazak Quick Turns, DMG Mori Lathes, and Bar Feeders is preferred
- Strong math skills and the ability to work from detailed and involved part drawings and specifications to perform operations to the capacity of the machine and controls
- Knowledge of metric blueprints along with GD&T
Work Environment / Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift heavy weights, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to work in various conditions such as extreme heat and noise level
