Responsibilities- Retrieve CNC programs and load them to the machine.
- Setup, load, and operate CNC machines to produce parts per prints.
- Edit G‑code and manually program using Mazatrol Control.
- Setup fixturing and create your own setups on the machine.
- Perform first piece and in‑process quality inspections.
- Setup cutters in holders and adjust height and length.
- Read drawings/prints to identify operations, specifications, and tolerances.
- Meet precise tolerances and finishing requirements.
- Use various hand tools to finish parts and verify dimensions.
- Use measuring devices such as micrometers and calipers to ensure specifications are met.
- Perform operator maintenance tasks such as oiling, greasing, and cleaning the machine (5S).
- Use forklift or crane to store and retrieve fixturing and other essential equipment.
- Operate other machines in the department as needed.
- High school diploma required; advanced education or apprenticeship preferred.
- 5 years of CNC mill set‑up and programming/editing experience required.
- Experience with Mazak machines preferred.
- Strong skills in editing G‑code and manual programming in Mazatrol preferred.
- Strong math skills and the ability to work from detailed part drawings and specifications.
- Willingness to move between work centers.
- Ability to lift heavy weights, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work in various conditions such as extreme heat and high noise levels.
- Clean and bright shop.
- Job shop environment (high mix, low volume) that provides great learning and growth opportunities.
- Hands‑on training and supportive team culture.
- 2nd shift premium of 10% and 3rd shift premium of 15%.
- Guaranteed at least 40 hours per week.
- Overtime optional and not mandatory.
- Sign‑on bonus of $5,000 for CNC Machinist 2 and $2,000 for CNC Machinist 1.
- Referral bonus of $2,000 for employees who refer a CNC Machinist that gets hired.
