Position: CNC Milling Machinist 2 - 3rd Shift

Responsibilities
  • Retrieve CNC programs and load them to the machine.
  • Setup, load, and operate CNC machines to produce parts per prints.
  • Edit G‑code and manually program using Mazatrol Control.
  • Setup fixturing and create your own setups on the machine.
  • Perform first piece and in‑process quality inspections.
  • Setup cutters in holders and adjust height and length.
  • Read drawings/prints to identify operations, specifications, and tolerances.
  • Meet precise tolerances and finishing requirements.
  • Use various hand tools to finish parts and verify dimensions.
  • Use measuring devices such as micrometers and calipers to ensure specifications are met.
  • Perform operator maintenance tasks such as oiling, greasing, and cleaning the machine (5S).
  • Use forklift or crane to store and retrieve fixturing and other essential equipment.
  • Operate other machines in the department as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; advanced education or apprenticeship preferred.
  • 5 years of CNC mill set‑up and programming/editing experience required.
  • Experience with Mazak machines preferred.
  • Strong skills in editing G‑code and manual programming in Mazatrol preferred.
  • Strong math skills and the ability to work from detailed part drawings and specifications.
  • Willingness to move between work centers.
Work Environment / Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift heavy weights, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work in various conditions such as extreme heat and high noise levels.
