Production Supervisor

UPC designs and manufactures retail store fixtures, and P.O.P. displays. Located in Madison WI, we operate in a 120,000 square ft, clean facility. Family owned for over 48 years and growing, we are employee centric with great employee retention.

Position Summary

• Create and maintain on time production schedule
• Oversees and organizes all materials, manufacturing processes, & staffing for their department
• Manages up to 6 people and multiple projects simultaneously
• Provides training & information for their team to successfully complete jobs within UPC standards.
• Ensures the highest levels of safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and production efficiency.

Facility Equipment & Work Environment

• Operating various hand and power tools and light machinery
• Clean manufacturing and warehouse environment
• Must be physically able to push, pull, and lift
• Hands on supervisor on the production floor

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent related work experience
• 2-5 years of experience successfully leading teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with shop tools and light equipment
• Knowledge of related production processes and machines. Must also have good materials knowledge.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Basic computer competency required in Microsoft Office. Ability to work within and learn production software programs and ERP system.
• Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
• A positive, proactive demeanor resulting in superior teamwork and collaboration with team members.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently to communicate effectively with team members within and external to department.
