Sirius Staffing is seeking a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technician for a contract position in Madison, WI. Candidates must be comfortable working with chemicals and hazardous materials, using required PPE, and maintaining a clean‑shaven appearance for respirator fit requirements.
Training
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Post‑Training
Schedule:
Day shift, 7 a – 7 p | 4 days on/3 off/3 days on/4 off schedule
- Support cGMP manufacturing operations as a primary or secondary operator in the production of APIs and intermediates.
- Operate production equipment during manufacturing, cleaning, and maintenance activities.
- Follow written procedures, including batch records and standard operating procedures (SOPs), to support compliant production activities.
- Maintain safe, clean production areas and equipment, including proper housekeeping and potent compound handling techniques.
- Follow and promote safety protocols and PPE compliance; identify and help correct safety or process gaps found during inspections and audits.
- Communicate production status clearly using shift pass‑off tools and support strong inter‑shift communication in a team‑based, multi‑shift environment.
- Provide additional departmental support as directed by leadership.
- Associate degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related life science field; OR
- High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of pharmaceutical, chemical, or related manufacturing experience.
Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate hand tools, calculators, and weighing/measuring devices.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written protocols, batch records, and procedures.
- Basic math and computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and email.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Self‑motivated with a high degree of initiative and the ability to work effectively in a team‑based setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move up to 50 lbs. with assistance as needed.
- Must be willing to work with highly potent and hazardous materials.
- Must be able to properly use required PPE, including respiratory protection, company‑issued uniforms, lab coats, disposable coveralls, and hazmat suits.
- Must be fitted for a respirator and maintain a clean‑shaven appearance for respirator fit requirements.
