Manufacturing Engineer (Fabrication) | Walworth County, WI | Entry–Mid Level
A well-established metal fabrication operation in Walworth County is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to support production, drive process improvements, and troubleshoot in a high-mix environment.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being on the shop floor solving real problems.
What You’ll Be Driving- Process improvements across cutting, forming, machining, and welding.
- Troubleshooting manufacturing issues in real time.
- Improving efficiency, throughput, and quality.
- Supporting inspection and production standards.
- Providing day‑to‑day engineering support to production teams.
- Improve workflows, fixturing, and fabrication processes.
- Create and maintain accurate manufacturing documentation and print materials.
- Contribute to PPAP elements (PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flowcharts).
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and purchasing.
- Hands‑on mindset with strong fabrication intuition.
- CAD exposure (Solid Works / Draft Sight / AutoCAD) and ability to connect engineering with shop execution.
- Preferred:
Experience in fabrication environments (laser, press brake, welding, machining). - Familiarity with quality systems (PPAP, ISO).
- Continuous improvement or lean manufacturing experience.
- Immediate impact on production and efficiency.
