Role Overview
Unpack Your Potential. As a Material Handler you’ll perform necessary handling of materials at both the beginning and end of the production process.
Schedule: 12‑hour shifts (6AM–6PM or 6PM–6AM) on a 4‑3 rotation. Fixed days:
Option1:
Sunday–Tuesday and every other Saturday;
Option2:
Wednesday–Friday and every other Saturday. Employees are assigned to one of the two fixed schedules and do not rotate between them.
Compensation & Benefits: Pay: $20.50–$22/hour (based on skillset) + $1.50/night shift premium. 401(k) dollar‑for‑dollar match up to 8%. Responsibilities- Receive and unload materials using forklift equipment, following the FIFO system, and move items to appropriate locations.
- Verify the accuracy of received materials against paperwork; enter and allocate materials into the SAP MRP system.
- Confirm material acceptance by QA through certification and document accordingly.
- Provide delivery documentation to relevant departments.
- Transport substrates to stock machines and return rolls and unused materials to storage.
- Move finished goods to the labeling area and complete labeling tasks.
- Place materials into designated racks and record locations on slitter tickets.
- Maintain the material location tracking system.
- Perform staging and shipping tasks, including pulling orders, moving items to the staging area, verifying order accuracy, and loading trucks.
- Assist with monthly raw material inventory counts, including participation in recounts (may require working outside regular hours).
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct cycle counts and perform other miscellaneous tasks as needed.
- Experience operating a forklift (preferably stand‑up lift).
- Basic knowledge of truck capacities, warehouse flow, and production process environment.
- Knowledge of the FIFO location system (preferred).
- Proficient math and computer skills.
- Ability to work in extreme environmental conditions both inside and out.
- Comfortable working with hazardous materials.
- Strong self‑motivating skills and ability to self‑manage, prioritize, and persevere in stressful situations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to calmly work with different personalities.
- Desire to work in and promote a safe working environment.
- Ability to stand for 12‑hour shifts.
- Stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50lbs.
- Perform tasks in a fast‑paced production environment.
