Salary: $24.00 annually.
Position SummaryThis position requires a self-driven, well organized sanitation professional who can exercise decision making skills and time management with little supervision. This Sanitation Lead on 2nd shift reports to the Food Safety Supervisor. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. This position supports the company’s production facility with the responsibilities that are included below.
What you’ll do- Oversee and coordinate/schedule sanitation tasks throughout the facility with team members daily
- Review the sanitation program to ensure identified processes are effective and being properly conducted by the team including SSOPs
- Provide oversight, coaching, and development suggestions for new and existing sanitation team members
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies to recommend to the manager
- Daily tasks include cleaning and sanitation of the production, warehouse and offices, including Pro Smoker
- Clean equipment and work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools
- Responsible for weekly cleaning and upkeep of office floors
- Clean up work area and trash including products, bags, boxes
- Manage facility knife program
- Conduct pre-operation checklists and swabbing as required
- Monitor and communicate supply and equipment needs to the manager timely to ensure supplies are available daily for the team
- Main point of contact for facility chemical program
- Complete daily paperwork accurately
- Operate forklift to assist with duties
- Comply with GMP, personal hygiene, HACCP and other quality and safety programs
- Other duties as assigned
- 2 years of sanitation experience required
- Experience leading a group or team of employees
- Experience with GMP, quality and safety programs
- Flexibility to work on a variety of tasks as needed
- Physical requirements include lifting to 60 lbs., bending, standing and climbing
- Forklift and skid loader experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and lead a team of employees
