ABOUT ASAHI BEER USA / OCTOPI BREWING
Founded in 2014 as a Wisconsin contract brewery, Octopi Brewing has spent over a decade brewing and packaging beer, seltzers, RTDs, and sodas for clients nationwide. In 2024, Asahi — brewers of Asahi Super Dry — acquired Octopi, making us the U.S. production home of Super Dry. Today, our 250+ person team of beverage industry pros keeps that same local, quality-first spirit alive at a state-of-the-art facility.
Our Maintenance Planner works hand-in-hand with Brewing and Production leadership to keep every piece of equipment running reliably — before problems happen, not after.
As Octopi scales production for Asahi Super Dry and our contract clients, we need a Maintenance Planner who can turn reactive fixes into proactive planning — keeping our equipment, budgets, and preventative maintenance schedule running like clockwork.
WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE GREAT- Real ownership over a 3-year preventative maintenance schedule and how our equipment budget gets spent
- A high-visibility role bridging Maintenance, Production, and Brewing leadership
- Lead projects and shape how our maintenance systems run — not just execute tasks
- Own and refine our 3-year preventative maintenance schedule, working directly with Brewing Process and Production leadership
- Generate work orders, build out full work packs (permits, parts, instructions), and align PM tasks with OEM recommendations
- Manage spare parts inventory and budget alongside the Maintenance Inventory Coordinator
- Lead root cause analysis on equipment issues and drive continuous improvement across maintenance activities
- Coordinate outside vendors and contracted work, including support during emergency downtime
- 5+ years of general technical or maintenance experience, including prior planning experience (production or services)
- High degree of mechanical aptitude, with the ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications
- Strong organizational, time management, and project leadership skills
- Comfortable working with ERP systems and electronic data
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs, and bend, twist, and turn as needed
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- Experience using AutoCAD
- Experience in the food or beverage industry
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage — effective the 1st of the month after 30 days
- Company-paid life, short-term, and long-term disability insurance
- 401(k) with company match — 100% up to 3%, 50% on the next 2%
- 120 hours of PTO annually, with accrual that grows the longer you're here
- 9 paid holidays (if they fall on your scheduled workday)
- A free beer after shift, because you earned it
- Pay: $90,000–$100,000 annually
- Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm
