Summary

The Manufacturing Technician position is responsible for building, testing, and calibrating complex scientific instruments to support production goals within a manufacturing work cell. This role collaborates with cross-functional team members to solve problems, ensure product quality, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities
  • Build, test, and calibrate various levels of assemblies for scientific instruments.
  • Install assemblies into final instrument builds while ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Follow work instructions for mechanical, electrical, and optical assemblies.
  • Perform material handling and inventory verification activities.
  • Use hand tools and assembly equipment to complete production tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and support a positive team environment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
Required Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience with mechanical assembly, hand tools, and soldering is highly desired.
  • Background in electronics assembly and basic computer skills preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, 25 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
