CNC Machinist, Manufacturing Engineer, CAD/ AutoCAD/ Mechanical Design
As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing machining programs, while determining effective programming and manufacturing methods for precision components. You will collaborate with engineering teams to align programming solutions with customer specifications and performance requirements.
In this role, you will act as the link between technical engineering drawings and finished machined parts, creating high-precision CNC programs for a variety of turning equipment, including Swiss, VTL/VTM, and horizontal lathes. Your work will ensure components are produced accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with strict quality standards.
You should be a detail-driven technical professional who enjoys solving complex machining challenges, interpreting geometric requirements, and transforming raw materials into precision-engineered parts.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, create, and optimize CNC programs for lathes using CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam and Solid Works
- Select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and work holding methods to improve efficiency and tool life
- Interpret complex engineering drawings, 3D models, and GD&T requirements to ensure accurate part production
- Collaborate with machinists and setup personnel to validate programs and resolve machining issues on the shop floor
- Troubleshoot and refine G-code/M-code programs to improve quality and reduce cycle times
- Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives related to machining processes and productivity
