Responsibilities
Content Creation (30%): Produce and manage content for social media, and Capitol Bank's website and advertising, focused on building visibility and engaging customers. Work with content libraries to adapt and localize highly valuable information for customers and prospective customers. Oversee Capitol Bank's digital and traditional marketing efforts, collaborating with external agencies on website management, digital advertising, social media, and media buying.
Customer Marketing (15%): Manage customer communications with intent to grow their affinity for the Bank and drive deeper engagement and referrals. This includes creating a monthly email newsletter, customer appreciation activities, and serving as one of the Bank's key customer advocates. Engage with customers through surveys, and 1:1 conversation. Represent Bank at various community events.
Project Management (15%): Plan and execute marketing initiatives, including social media campaigns, event sponsor ships, video production, product launches, Media planning, Shareholder communications, Public Relations announcements, and more. Blend outcome-based initiatives with hands-on execution, ensuring timely delivery of projects.
Marketing Plan Development(10%): In conjunction with Senior Leadership, develop, coordinate, implement, and benchmark Capitol Bank's marketing plan. This approach will drive new deposit accounts, mortgage applications, improve brand recognition, enhance customer experiences, and contribute to overall Bank growth. Leverage data analytics to track performance, adjust campaigns, and optimize strategies for improved results.
Brand Development (10%): Lead brand management initiatives, ensuring market differentiating messaging across all platforms and touchpoints. Strengthen relationships with media contacts, local not-for-profit organizations, and professional "centers of influence" to create opportunities for the Bank's Sales team.
Sales Enablement (10%): Work directly with the sales organization to create sales materials, support their individual brands, provide them with engaging content, and deliver leads derived from marketing efforts.
Other Duties (10%): Participate in meeting, operations clean-up, public relations, etc.
QualificationsRequired:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, or business with a marketing emphasis.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in progressive marketing.
- Strong independent work capabilities, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams with tact, diplomacy, and discretion.
- Experience making data-driven recommendations and decisions that are outcome-focused.
- Creative thinker who is open to change and new ideas.
- Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
- Proven experience in project management and/or event management.
- Comfortable with public speaking.
- Strong copywriting, editing, and graphic design skills.
- Proficient with marketing tools and technologies:
Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Mailchimp, Facebook/Linked In, Microsoft Office Suite, and other marketing technologies. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, delivering on multiple deadlines simultaneously. A proactive approach and sense of urgency are critical.
Preferred:
- Experience with in the banking or finance sectors.
- Experience in photography and video creation/editing.
